Auditing
One-day seminar to sharpen skills, learn the
latest coding
Coding: From Basics to Auditing,
a one-day seminar from the Pennsylvania Medical Society, will refresh
your knowledge of the foundations of coding while teaching how to design
and execute an internal audit program. You’ll learn:
- How ICD-9 and CPT coding work together to affect a
practice’s bottom line
- Correct ways to choose the appropriate level of
E&M service
- Steps to follow to create an effective audit
program
- Key elements of documentation to include in every
patient record
- How insurance companies, government agencies, and
other entities audit documentation and billing
- How to compare your coding and documentation with
your peer group
- Ways to use audit results to build solutions to
common problems
At the end of Coding: From Basics to Auditing,
you should have the training necessary to conduct prospective and
retrospective documentation and coding audits.
Coding: From Basics to Auditing, led by a
consultant from PMSCO Healthcare Consulting, will allow you to earn up
to 5.5 hours of CEUs for attending.
